- Thomas was originally going to have a larger role in the episode, but his voice actor RightonTracks10 retired from voice acting during scriptwrting.
- In the original version, the reason Daisy's RWS model was used is because SI3D's model only had one face, and it would be difficult to add faces by photo-editing as most of the runaway is in video.
- The idea for the story was suggested by DarthWill3.
- Railway Series references include Thomas in Trouble, Old Iron, and Daisy.
- In the original version, a reference to WTLNetwork's Youtube Poop, "Feeble?!" is made in this video at 9:06.
- This episode is loosely based off the 2010 movie Unstoppable.
- T1E2H3 had the idea of this episode when he was a child, before making TEOS.
- The remastered version has several differences:
- It is Henry's driver who walks out of the cab instead of James's, due to Henry being closer to Daisy. Also, the driver first walks into the brake van and puts on the brakes. This is because it was noticed that climbing through each truck to Daisy's cab seemed impossible to do quickly due to no railings. The driver then jumps out and back into Daisy's cab.
- Sir Topham Hatt joins the chase in Henry's cab as opposed to coming later with Edward.
- Daisy's "Someone better save me or I will sue this wretched railway!" line and the "Feeble?!" reference are both omitted.
- The policeman on the line shouts "OI YOU" as Daisy rolls past. The audio was taken from Ringo Starr's narration of the TV episode Thomas in Trouble.
- The sound effect of the bouncing off Daisy is taken from Tom and Jerry.
- The remastered version might be the last video made in Trainz 2010, as T1E2H3 is in the process of upgrading to Trainz 2019.

- When Daisy speeds past BoCo during the runaway, Annie is facing the wrong way.
