Ernest is the Number 2 on the Culdee Fell Railway.

Bio

Ernest was built in 1895 along with Godred and Wilfred in Winterthur, Switzerland. After completion, he had a few tests on a Swiss mountain railway, and then arrived on Sodor in 1900. After Godred's accident, he became the oldest member of the engines. He was the first engine to have in overhaul, which took place in 1951. He had another one in 1990, though this time at Crovan's Gate.

Trainz Model

Since The Slopes of Culdee Fell the Jonateers Model was used. Prior to The Slopes of Culdee Fell SI3D‘s Culdee model Was used.

Basis

Ernest is based on the Snowdon Mountain Railway's No. 2 Enid. When Thomas1Edward2Henry3 visited the railway in June 2015, this was the engine that pushed the coach to the summit.

Like the other Culdee Fell Engines, Ernest only appeared in Mountain Engines. However, his face was not shown, only the back half of him.

Trivia

• In The Slopes of Culdee Fell, he speaks with a Southern US accent. The voice was inspired by the character Cleveland Brown from the television series Family Guy.
