Adam is a red tank engine who once worked on the Wellsworth and Suddery Railway (later known as the Tidmouth, Wellsworth & Suddery Railway after 1912). He was the number 3 on the railway.

Bio[]

Adam was built in 1885. He was later sent to the Wellsworth and Suddery Railway and worked with three other tank engines. When the Wellsworth and Suddery Railway merged with the The Tidmouth, Knapford and Elsbridge and the Sodor and Mainland Railway to become the North Western Railway in 1915, Adam was used on the new railway until 1931, when both he and Wallace were sold to a wealthy man on the mainland to help with a rotisserie farmer. After many years of service, they eventually became working exhibits at the museum which lay next to the railway.

Basis[]

Adam, as his name implies, is an LSWR 415 class Adams Radial Tank Engine. 71 of them were built between 1882 and 1885. One (No. 488 Adams) has been preserved on The Bluebell Railway.

WildnorWester's Colin was originally suppose to have Adam's role in NWR Origins.

  • Adam's role in NWR Origins was originally Colin from WildnorWester's website. However, the Colin model had several errors so at the last minute, Thomas1Edward2Henry3 reassigned the role to Adam.
