There was an idea for a special to be released around Christmas 2015, but it was never completed because of the massive amounts of effort and time needed. Logistically, it was too massive of a project. However, it is likely that some elements of this project was put into The Engines of Sodor Finale Trilogy in 2019.

The 2015 full length film story would be about the Sodor’s engines discovering a small island used to be a military base called; ‘Little Sodor’, so they go through the tunnel to Little Sodor. The Sodor engines would meet a special engine, but someone wanted to destroy it.
